Today’s free Italian lesson is on the past perfect tense.
And lo and behold, it’s an easy one!
Easy in the sense that, unusually for Italian, the tense is used in pretty much the same way as in English.
And easy because, if you know the past participle and imperfect forms, conjugating this one should be child’s play.
Besides being a cheap date, the past perfect it’s also useful, as it’s a building block for those horrible, horrible conditional forms that we’ll be getting to in a few weeks.
So that’s three reasons not to skip this lesson.
Here’s another: for most people, reading through the explanation, listening to audio while reading the transcript, and attempting the two exercises, should be achievable in not more than an hour or so.
And did I mention that it’s free?
