The latest in our ‘La grammatica ascoltata’ (Grammar, listened to) series is out today.
It focuses on the Futuro semplice, another nice & easy Italian tense.
We’re doing A2 (pre-intermediate) tenses at the moment. View the series on our A2 – Free Online Italian Exercises page.
If the A2 stuff is on the hard side for you, there are always the A1 (beginner) texts to listen to. You’ll find them on our A1- Free Online Italian Exercises page.
The next article in the series will cover the Condizionale presente and is due Monday…
Bar Giovanni is back!
By popular request, Bar Giovanni is back on the main menu of OnlineItalianClub.com.
I’d removed it from the menu because, well, there’s nothing worse than a bar or pub with no customers, is there?
But then Karen came back from holiday, got chatting with John, and Jo, and Vittorio, and hey – suddenly we’re selling coffee and brioche again.

P.S.
I saw Lucia yesterday, our online lessons manager (and enthusiastic teacher).
As always she was full of ideas on how to promote our online Italian classes.
One of these was to offer a free trial lesson.
The ‘other sites’ all do it, apparently.
To me it sounded like a horrible waste of money.
I’d much rather be investing in new exercises and materials that everyone can use, for free.
Why throw away scare resources on people who probably aren’t serious about learning Italian anyway?
If they want free stuff, there’s over a thousand pages of it right here on our site.
But anyway, that got me thinking.
It’s true the teachers need work, Italy’s economy being what it is.
And there are certainly plenty of you out there who would benefit from a weekly online Italian lesson.
So why should everyone suffer because I’m busy publishing simplified Italian audio books?
OK, here’s the deal…
If you’d like to try an online Italian lesson, go right ahead and book one in our shop.
There’s no free trial – the cost is €20 (which should weed out the time-wasters).
But if, once you’ve done your lesson, you were unhappy with it for any reason whatsoever …
I’ll refund your payment in full.
In effect, you can try an online Italian lesson with one of our expert teachers at no risk to you.
If you don’t like it, e-mail me for a full refund.
(There, that should keep Lucia quiet for a bit…)
Maria Iramendy says
Dear Daniel:
In the grammatical ascoltata As/2 futuro semplice, I note there is an error in the future of comperare. I checked the dictionary and I found out that the correct word should be compererò and not comprerò. Would you kindly confirm.
Daniel says
Two spellings of what is essentially the same verb, Maria.
