Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo from OnlineItalianClub.com!
Today’s La Vigilia di Natale (Christmas Eve in English) so, of course, we have some”Christmas-themed” free Italian exercises for you to do! There’s a reading comprehension, two Christmas Italian vocabulary exercises, and a crossword (see link at end of this post).
Which reminds me, my (Italian) wife is always telling me that English-speakers (i.e. me) don’t pronounce the double “n” in the word “Anno”, leading to some embarassing misunderstandings – I won’t explain further (work it out..), but when delivering New Year greetings, do be careful to ennunciate both syllables: “An – No”.
Moving swiftly on, I also need to tell you that there are some really, really impressive NEW Italian listening comprehension exercises – 8 new pages at levels from A1 (beginner) to C1 (advanced).
The listening section of our site has some excellent resources, so if you haven’t checked it out yet, follow the link at the bottom of this page. If you have already visited, take another look, as Daniele and his team have been busy creating lots more materials to help you improve your listening skills (there’s a bright green “NEW” next to the latest additions..)
And finally, just a reminder… You’ll have already seen the banner in the top right hand corner of our site which says”Enroll by 24th December, save 20%”. Well that’s today, so if you plan to save money on your 2013 course at our sponsor school in Bologna, don’t forget now! The offer expires at midnight.
