Maria ha 66 anni ed è pensionata. L’anno scorso ha deciso di iscriversi all’università per studiare arte.
Infatti ha lavorato per molti anni come impiegata in un museo di Roma ed è sempre stata interessata all’arte.
All’inizio Maria non voleva iscriversi all’università, perché aveva paura di essere l’unica pensionata tra molti studenti più giovani.
All’università invece ha incontrato anche un’altra signora, Giovanna, pensionata come lei. Anche Giovanna studia arte e spesso si incontrano per studiare insieme o per fare delle gite ai musei.
La settimana scorsa Giovanna e Maria sono andate a fare un giro in centro e hanno deciso di visitare i Fori Imperiali.
I Fori Imperiali sono rovine della antica città di Roma. E’ un luogo molto antico e ogni anno milioni di turisti vengono per visitarlo.
Maria ora è felice di studiare all’università e si laureerà il prossimo anno.

Per prima cosa Clara ha cercato un appartamento. (Perché nella domanda è scritto “a cercato”?)
Clara ha inviato curriculum.
Alla fine ha trovato un lavoro in un’azienda per il turismo.

I’m new to this so a bit nervous posting this transcript, but here goes:
Clara si è trasferita a Milano per trovare lavoro. Vieni del piccolo paesino della provincia di Como. Dove a …… fino al diploma. Dopo il diploma Clara è andata studia l’economia all’università di Perugia. Il paese da cui viene è molto piccolo e che non molto lavoro. Per questo ha deciso di traferisti a Milano e cercare un lavoro come un contabile. Per prima cosa Clara ha cercato un appartamento economico dove vivere. Poi ha scritto suo curriculum dell’ inviato a molte agenzie della città. Dopo qualche settimana un’agenzia …… per fare un colloquio per lavoro. Il colloquio è andato bene e finalmente Clara trovato un lavoro presso un’azienda che si occupa di turismo. Clara è molto felice di avere travato lavoro che le piace.

Nice exercise, I wont add to the good work the others have done. I think it is useful to swing the words a bit commercialista/contabile etc, it helps to imprint the vocabulary.

Clever of you to spot the commercialista/contabile synonym thing, Karen. I had thought of including a warning about that in today’s article but didn’t bother in the end.
For anyone wondering what we’re on about, wordreference.com translates the English ‘accountant’ as contabile or ragioniere… But commercialista is commonly used too.
‘Ragioniere’ to me is more like ‘book-keeper’. A ‘commercialista’ on the other hand will also advise on tax-planing and general business related bureaucracy.
Look up ‘commercialista’ in the Italian/English section of their site and the first translation offered accountant…

Daniel help please!! After listening to “un furto ad arte” I decided to buy the ebook. I paid this morning by Paypal and soon received my order confirmation. I read a page, it looked good, and I decided to do some serious work on it later.
