This morning I have a new easy Italian reader for you to take a look at.
Plus the latest in our ‘Italian Conversations’ series of free audios with transcripts.
First though, ‘Caccia all’autografo‘ (autograph hunt).
Having passed his last exam of the academic year, university student Alberto flies to Sicily to visit his grandfather, who soon realizes that something is troubling the lad…
This is another excellent story from one of our regular writers, Enrico Maso.
This one had us all weepy-eyed at OnlineItalianClub.com HQ, but do check out the free sample chapter before you buy it as the level (at B1 / intermediate) is a little more challenging that usual.
This is in part because of the occasional Sicilian or Venetian dialect term, though for me those just add to the story’s charm.
What else do I need to tell you?
As always with our Italian easy readers, for the first week only Caccia all’autografo is available at a 25% discount. Get it this week for just €7.50 instead of the usual €9.99.
If you’re new around here, I’d also point out that the audio link in the free sample chapter works for the entire story, so if you’re happy just listening you get the audio book for free.
That said, the full e-book (.pdf), which along with the full text and audio link contains a short glossary and comprehension exercise for each of the eight chapters, is well worth shelling out a few euros for.
Click here to get your copy of Caccia all’autografo before the offer ends.
Or browse all of our Italian easy readers in the e-books section of our online shop (we also offer online Italian lessons…)
Italian Conversation no. 21
The twenty-first in our series of free Italian dialogues (with transcripts) is now up on our Italian Conversations homepage.
Follow this link to listen: Problemi, Perdere il bagaglio
Watch this space on Wednesday for the next in the series.

Hi, I would like to have a set of audio questions and answers, after a suitable pause, to go with the stories. I listen to my Italian in the car on the way to work and would like to interact with the story rather than just passive listening. I have used the Pimsleur materials and find the method very rewarding. Thanks.

Hi Debra,
Thanks for your suggestion. I’ll see what I can do with future materials.
