Buondì.
Don’t think I mentioned this, but for the past week or so I’ve been on our annual family holiday.
We’re visiting grandparents in Cornwall, in England.
The kids are going surfing, I’m enjoying the occasional pasty and pint of Proper Job.
And funnily enough, today’s free listenings are pertinent, the first (hard one, level C2) being about summer holidays and the second (easier one – level A2) about animals.
What have animals got to do with holidays?
Beh, if you were to take a walk on our local beach, you’d see dogs everywhere!
Mums, dads, kids and canines, all enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.
Yesterday, the RNLI surf information sign on the beach gave the air temperature as 14 degrees and the sea temperature as 15 degrees…
Hope that puts you in the mood for some summer fun!
Final reminder!
All of our Italian/English parallel texts are half-price until Sunday midnight
Parallel texts comprise an original Italian story along with an English translation.
All the lines are numbered, so you can easily compare line seven, say, in the Italian version with the corresponding line in the English version.
Julie wrote in to tell me that the Adobe .pdf reader mobile app for APPLE doesn’t have a ‘two page view’ option.
So if you’re an ipad user, check how the ebooks look on your device BEFORE you buy.
You can do this by downloading (and opening) the free sample chapter for the book or books that interest you.
Or switch to Android, which is much less stuck-up.
Final, final reminder:
- sixteen paralle texts at different levels
- normal price £7.99, now £3.99
- offer ends Sunday midnight
- the easiest four are here
- the remaining twelve are here
- or view all Italian material
N.b. There are instructions on how to view the Italian and English versions side by side in the new shop’s FAQ.
A lunedì.
