Today, two different sorts of crime

November 18, 2015 by Daniel

First of all, news of another of our occasional ‘Book of the Week’ promotions.

These are intended to showcase e-books/easy readers that we published a while ago and which you may not therefore have seen.

So today, a chance to get one of our excellent Italian easy reader e-books (.pdf file + audio online) at half price, that’s just €4.99 instead of the usual €9.99.

Improve your Italian by reading and listening to ‘Divorzio all’Italiana‘, one of the early stories from our ‘Book of the Italian Film’ series.

It dates from the period when legal divorce was impossible in Italy. The thoughtful looking guy on the cover is wondering how he can get rid of his wife…Easy Italian Readers: Divorzio all'italiana

We first published ‘Divorzio all’Italiana’ way, way back in January 2015 and I, for one, thought it was really good!

But don’t take my word for it…

Read the free sample chapter (.pdf) to check if the level is good for you, and if you like the story.

If it is, and if you do, then get your copy from our online shop.

Tina, who wrote a review of ‘Divorzio all’Italiana’, commented:

When you get to the last page and realize that you have read the book in Italian, it allows you with great joy, pride, self-confidence and big motivation to continue learning the language!

Hope it has the same affect for you.

Raccontare una crimine

The topic of today’s free Italian Conversation is also crime.

A lady gets mugged at a railway station, she falls to the ground, the thieves run off with her bag, and a passerby calls the polizia…

Listen a few times, then check what you understood by looking at the transcript.

There, you now know how to report a crime!

(Let’s hope that won’t come in handy for you, other than as excellent listening practice.)

Listen to Problemi, Raccontare una crimine.

Or take a look at all of the free listening material in the Italian Conversations series.

A venerdì!
