What an unsympathetic, but useful, expression!
The Italian equivalent is:
“Hai voluto la bicicletta? Adesso pedala!”
(You wanted the bike? Now pedal!)
OnlineItalianClub.com was a casual idea that popped into my head one day in 2012.
Since then it has grown rapidly, into a monster which now devours chunks of my time!
And yes, the situation was entirely of my own making.
Ho voluto la bici, ora devo pedalare!
Which I am indeed doing, by trawling through the final ‘unrefurbished’ section of the club website.
The idea is to tidy up, as far as is possible, the neglected and rather shameful pages in our alphabetical list of vocabulary topics.
Today we begin ‘B’.
