Buondi.
I’ll keep this very, very short as I have an online Swedish lesson in 40 minutes.
I’ve been tidying up the next vocabulary page in the club’s vocabulary section.
This one’s advanced, I’d say ‘very advanced’, besides being extremely boring.
So I added a ‘Study Tip’, and in doing so hope to have spiced it up a little!
Here’s the link: Some Common Italian Expressions
Read on past the tedious first part, until you get to the STUDY TIP, where you’ll see that in checking one of the expressions I didn’t know, I ended up listening to my first Italian hip hop song!
Fred De Palma’s video of ‘Serenata Trap’ (Serenade Trap) is on Youtube.
Click on ‘SHOW MORE’ (‘MOSTRA ALTRO’ in Italian) in the video information, right under the video display screen, to see the full lyrics for the song.
Homework for the weekend?
Translate it.
Go on, I dare you!
And for super enthuiastic students of Italian with too much time on their hands?
Learn the lyrics and perform the song to your friends.
They’ll think you’ve ‘uscito di senno’ (lost your senses, gone out of your mind…)
A lunedì.
