‘Another day, another dollar’ I say to my sleepy son who, before eating his breakfast toast and nutella, has no energy or enthusiasm for the day.
‘And it’s Friday!’ I remind him.
Which indeed it is, so here’s the latest in our new series of free Italian grammar exercises.
The level is A2/pre-intermediate, so not as easy as the stuff we were putting out a month or so ago.
Useful, nevertheless.
Today’s topic is Pronomi diretti al passato prossimo. Direct pronouns in the near past tense (the one you use all the time when speaking and writing.)
This is the sort of grammar that I wish I’d mastered when I was first learning Italian over 15 years ago.
(Instead I just sort of choose a pronoun at random and see if that does the trick…)

I was caught out by
Quanto prosciutto ha comprato signora? My heart wanted the Ne but I couldnt click how the prosciutto was plural. Was is the plural etti?
