Buondì.
A quick one this morning, as I’ll be spending most of the day preparing our Summer Sale promotion, which runs from Monday 3rd of July to Sunday 9th of July.
Ebook buyers and students who take one-to-one online lessons will be able to save 20% on their purchases, if they remember to use the coupon code, which I’ll be promoting from Monday July 3rd onwards (NOT TODAY!)
Invece, this week we have a new ‘easy Italian reader’ for you. The details are below. Next week, nothing – there’ll be a few days of calm before the promotional storm…
A reminder for the majority of club members who never buy anything – which is absolutely fine, of course – on the club website there are masses of FREE materials that students can use to improve their Italian, no registration/log-in/payment required. Visit the website and browse the hundreds of grammar lessons and exercises, and much more!
For instance, after the Summer Sale ends, from Monday July 10th until some time in mid-September, we’ll be adding thirty episodes to our sequence of texts + audio on the history of the Italian peninsula, from the origins of the Roman empire (three summers ago) to the Berlusconi years (in 2024). You can see what the thirty new topics will be on our History page – scroll down to the bottom for the titles of the new stuff. The titles will become clickable as I publish them – three times a week throughout the hottest part of the summer.
Then, of course, there are the thrice-weekly bulletins of ‘easy’ Italian news (also text + audio, also FREE). I promote EasyItalianNews.com in the footer of virtually every article I write, because it’s good stuff! You should use it. If I was learning Italian, I definitely would! Teachers, please tell your students.
But some club members do have cash to spend on their learning, hence Shop (ebooks) | Shop (online lessons). If that’s you, then note down the Summer Sale dates in your diary (July 3rd-9th) and look out for the coupon code, to SAVE 20%!
There’s always someone who emails after a promotion has ended, complaining they didn’t know it was on.
Ragazzi, this is two-week’s advance notice. Then we’ll email all of our current and former online students the Thursday before. And then we’ll bombard all our mailing lists for seven whole days, which is why I’ll be busy today, preparing drafts and updating my diary and ‘to do’ list.
Così. You have been informed. Now go find some free stuff (links above and below) to occupy yourself with.
So, flamingoes?
This week’s new ‘easy Italian reader’ ebook will reveal all…
A mercoledì.
P.S. ‘A Cagliari ci sono i fenicotteri’ (A1-A2), £5.99 this week
Following on from last week’s ‘eBook of the Week’ offer, on four stories we published back in 2015, this morning we published a new Italian ‘easy reader’ ebook at that same level (A1/A2 – elementary/pre-intermediate).
Until Sunday 25th June 2023 A Cagliari ci sono i fenicotteri will cost you just £5.99, as always with new publications (no coupon code needed – the price is set lower in the shop.) From Monday 26th June the price will be £7.99, like all of our ‘easy readers’.
What’s it about?
Twelve-year-old Gianna wakes up in Sardinia’s beautiful seaside capital for the last time. Today her family is moving to Milan, where her mum will take an important new job. They’ll live in a larger flat! Gianna will go to a new school! She’ll make new friends! But she’s leaving behind the city she loves, where she’s lived her whole life…

Hi Daniel. Typo? It sounds like the next series of History articles, of which I am a huge fan, will be published starting some time in June or July, not January as printed. (Why do so many months start with ‘J’ ?)
Really looking forward to it!

Typo, Steph, yes. It should have been July. I’ve corrected the article and appreciate your feedback!
