Did you know that Good Friday is NOT a holiday in Italy?
No kidding.
It’s just a normal working day here.
The kids are off school, of course, but only for a week.
Easter isn’t a long school holiday here, as it is in the UK.
Monday IS a ‘giorno festivo’.
It’s known as ‘Pasquetta’ (‘Pasqua’ itself is Sunday).
So a lot of people will be taking advantage of the long weekend (usually called a ‘ponte’) to head off to the mountains, or the sea.
We’ll be in Rimini, where our small boat is moored, for lunch with the extended family on ‘Pasquetta’.
What about you?
Hope you’ll be doing something nice, too!
Talking of Easter…
Today sees the start of our long-promised Easter Offer!
Get 20% off everything in both our online shops, without exception!
Time to stock up on ebooks and online Italian lessons – the next chance won’t be for several months.
The coupon code you need is:
easter offer 2017
Just copy and paste the above line into the box in your shopping cart (where it says ‘Apply coupon’) to get the discount
Note that, once you’ve applied the coupon code and pressed the button, you won’t see the actual item cost change – you need to scroll down the page to see that your order total has been discounted.
Details are as follows:
- Coupon code easter offer 2017 gets you a 20% discount on lessons and ebooks
- It’s valid through 23/04/17
- There’s no min. or max. spend
- It can be used multiple times until the end of the offer on 23rd April 2017
- It applies to items on sale too (but cannot be used with other coupons you may have)
And if you’re unsure what to do, check out the ‘how to use the coupon code’ page.
The explanations, pictures and links are for the club shop, but the process is identical in the new shop.
P.S.
You may be wondering why we have TWO online shops?
Beh, it’s complicated.
Basically we’re transitioning from the rather rubbish old one (the club) to the new one, which is a specialist ‘shop’ website and so has a nicer design and more payment options.
For the moment, however, you still get to choose!
Italian lessons / ebooks can be bought in EUROS from onlineitalianclub.com, with payment through Paypal, here:
https://onlineitalianclub.com/shop/
Or from easyreaders.org in British pounds, with payment through Paypal, Amazon or bank transfer (if you have a UK bank account) here:
https://easyreaders.org/product-category/italian/
The pricing, though in different currencies, should be roughly equivalent. There might be a small advantage (to you, not to us) in using the new shop.
Besides making a few cents on your choice of currency, another reason for using the new site is that you’ll find a more complete selection of ebooks.
Anything published in the last four or five months, including the very popular ‘bundles’ of ebooks, is only available there, not in the ‘old’ shop.
And yet another reason for using the new shop, is that you’re not forced to pay through the famously unfriendly Paypal site.
Assuming you’re already an Amazon user, their payment process, available only in our new shop, is SO SMOOTH by comparison.
And not to forget, if you have a UK bank account and online banking, a bank transfer should be free and fast.
So here’s a summary:
copy and paste coupon code easter offer 2017 into the box in the shoppping cart to save 20% on everything!
For help with any of this, or for advice on which ebooks or lesson package might suit you best, my email is at the bottom of each page on both sites.
Buona pasqua!
