Buondì.
Wednesday’s article ‘Join 3,035 other subscribers‘ had the desired effect, like big time!
Thirty-eight more people subscribed to EasyItalianNews.com (and why not? It’s FREE!)
If you haven’t got around to it yet, take a look at the ‘Subscribe’ page to see what’s required.
Basically, just type in your email address and wait for an email asking you to confirm that you want to improve your Italian reading/listening skills for FREE by receiving ‘easy news’ bulletins each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Or you could, well, just do nothing.
In which case you might make less progress with your Italian than you would have done.
But maybe that’s it?
You’re having so much fun at A1 and A2 levels that you’d rather hang around a little longer, before moving on to the point at which you can actually understand the language when you hear it or read it?
That’s absolutely fine.
And you’re in excellent company, too!
The club currently has 12,609 members, which is slightly more than the ‘Comune’ (district) of Anzola dell’Emilia, not far from where I live.
That bustling metropolis has 12,310 residents (of whom 1,395 are foreigners, so rapists and murderers no doubt.)
Assuming a 100% overlap between EIN subscribers and club members, then I’ve so far persuaded 24.37% of you guys to sign up for FREE ‘easy news’ bulletins three times a week.
I pat myself on the back at this thought – veramente I could sell air-conditioning to innuit, were that an appropriate and ethical thing to do.
Though 24.37% does still leave 75.63% of club members undecided.
Some must be cautious types, which is good.
The world needs people who look before they leap, who distrust the so-called ‘free’ offers with which we are constantly bombarded.
After all, there’s no such thing as a free lunch, right?
Free never really means free, that’s Economics 101.
Once you put in your email address, you’ll never hear the end of it.
Oh but wait.
You’re reading this in an email.
Which means…
I already have your email address.
Why, then, am I pestering you to subscribe to EasyItalianNews.com if I could just copy and paste the whole club list anyway?
Boh.
Which is sort of the Italian way of saying ‘Go figure.’

i have a laugh out loud moment reading almost every one of your postings. This time it was the murderers and rapists comment.
