13 is NOT an Unlucky Number in Italy

March 7, 2012 by Daniel

It’s true! 13 is not an unlucky number in Italy (but 17 is, apparently). So there’s no problem at all that I’ve just uploaded 13 new interactive Italian exercises for you to enjoy…

And did you know? Italians don’t “touch wood” to ward off bad luck. Instead they “touch iron” (‘ferro’ in Italian).

Which reminds me, thanks a lot to all of the Google Chrome users who enthusiastically wrote to tell me that some of the exercises didn’t actually work at all in their favourite browser (I’m being sarcastic – it took us a week to notice the problem. Sorry!)

The Chrome issue seems to have been caused by an intern using a computer with a Hungarian operating system (!) Hopefully, the same intern will have checked all the exercises and fixed the problem by the weekend. In the meantime, everything works great in Internet Explorer (tocco ferro..), so better use that to do your Italian exercises.
