Verbi riflessivi al passato prossimo [reflexive verbs in the past tense]

When using them, we have to remember that all reflexive verbs are conjugated with the auxiliary verb “essere” and the ending of the participio passato needs to be conjugated as well, according to the gender and number of the subject.

Example: svegliarsi [to wake up]

 

Presente:

io mi sveglio

tu ti svegli

lui/lei si sveglia

noi ci svegliamo

voi vi svegliate

loro si svegliano.

 

Passato prossimo:

io mi sono svegliato/a

tu ti sei svegliato/a

lui/lei si รจ svegliato/a

noi ci siamo svegliati/e

voi vi siete svegliati/e

loro si sono svegliati/e
