Would you rather live in the city or the countryside?
Personally I’m hedging my bets.
Our home is just inside the boundary of the city of Bologna (in Italy), at the end of a bus route that takes us directly into the historic center in just twenty minutes.
But it’s surrounded by ploughed fields and open skies, so the best of both worlds, as far as I’m concerned.
Though I immagine my kids would rather be in, or nearer to, the bustle of the downtown, where their friends are. Plus, they’d save time getting to school and back.
What about you guys?
The peace and calm of the country, or the life and noise of an urban area?
You’ll find Italian words to describe both options in today’s free vocabulary lesson:
There’s the usual word list, plus a gap fill exercise to do.
Note that the exercise is NOT interactive (so please don’t write saying you can’t see the usual buttons…)
You’ll need to print it, or do it on the screen, noting your answers on a piece of paper with a pencil, in the old-fashioned way.
Which reminds me, many thanks to everyone who bought last week’s new ebook easy reader ‘Leonardo in riva all’Adda‘.
The launch promotion on ‘Leonardo’ has now ended, but it’s not too late to buy it at the full price…
This week there’s no new publication for me to push.
Though I will mention that Lucia (our teacher manager) and I will be setting up a FREE TRIAL LESSON promotion for next week.
So if you’ve always fancied taking online lessons, one-to-one with a club teacher, watch this space.
Next week you’ll get your chance to try one, gratis!
A mercoledì, allora.
OnlineItalianClub.com offers thousands of pages of free study materials for people learning Italian around the world, with no registration required.
There’s a minimum of advertising on the club website, which is much nicer but produces no revenues.
So one of the ways we pay our bills is by publishing ebooks.
You CAN study Italian completely for free on our website (and 99% of people do).
But if you’re determined to spend some cash on your language-learning, please do it in our new online shop:
