Buondì.
A quick one today, as I have a lot to do (things got backed up over the weekend…)
This morning I’ve been continuing with the spring-cleaning over at the vocabulary section of the club website.
Specifically, I’ve been tidying up this page about personality adjectives.
It’s just a short list of words, with English translations.
But I bet you know people you could apply them to!
There’s an exercise, too, so you can check your understanding.
The level is supposed to be A2, but I’d say it’s suitable for just about everyone.
Click here to take a look.
To answer the question posed at the head of the list of adjectives (which three best describe you?) I’d say that I’m…
1. aperto
but…
2. severo
and unfortunately…
3. loquace
Which I guess is not surprising, given my work as a language teacher.
Good job I’m not timido or noioso, anyway!
What about you??
Choose from the list of adjectives here.
P.S.
One of the few English language newspapers that you can read online WITHOUT having to pay for it is ‘The Guardian’.
And on Saturday, bless them, they published an article on Bologna, where our Italian school is.
Bologna city guide: what to see plus the best bars, restaurants and hotels
As always with this type of article, what you get is just a selection, and only some journalist’s opinion at that.
However, it gives you a flavour of the place, if you’ve never been.
Scroll down the article and check out the photo under the heading ‘WHERE TO DRINK
Enoteca Storica Faccioli’.
That’s just a few yards down the street from us!
If you’re having, or plan to have, an idle day, the comments section at the bottom of the article is also worth a look.
A mercoledì, allora.
Buono studio!
