Next week, the OnlineItalianClub.com Texas road trip!

June 14, 2017 by Daniel

Buondì.

Ragazzi, it’s hot here in Bologna this week!

Hotter than usual for June at around 34 degrees centigrade (93 degrees Fahrenheit).

That said, it’s perfect ‘acclimatization’ for next week, when my daughter and I will be taking a road trip in Texas.

Approximately the same temperature, but windier.

This is my eldest child’s eighteenth birthday present, her choice of destination (something she’s always dreamed of, apparently.)

I’m just the driver, enticed by promises of tacos, barbecue and, once the driving’s done, plenty of cold beer.

While we’re in the U.S.A., it would be fun to meet up with any club members in Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and so on.

I know most Italian groups and courses will already be on holiday – our timing was dicatated by the school year, unfortunately.

But hey, if there IS anyone around who would like to meet up and speak Italian (my daughter is a native speaker and would be happy to provide some free conversation practice), just email me and we can try to set something up.

Individuals, groups, whatever. We’ll be on holiday, and happy to meet people.

But for today?

Well, what about some more beginner-level listenings with new tasks?

You know the drill by now. Read the questions first, listen a few times WITHOUT looking at the transcript, check your answers to see how much you understood, and only then read/listen to the transcript.

A useful final stage, once you’ve studied the transcript, is to go back and listen once more without it. You should understand better this time.

Buono studio!
