Good Friday might be a public holiday where you are, but it isn’t here in Italy.
And while children in the UK have up to three weeks off school at Easter, in Italy the holiday is much shorter – my kids get barely a week of sleeping in, poverini!
But anyway, here at OnlineItalianClub.com we publish new materials for learning Italian three times a week, ‘giorno festivo’ or otherwise!
So here’s the latest in our series of free Italian A2 listening comprehension exercises.

Buona Pasqua a tutti!
P.S.
In the last article I included links to a couple of my favorites amongst the original Italian easy-readers in our online shop.
Today I thought I’d mention the ‘book of the film’ series, which so far has just three volumes (though there are more in the pipeline.)
The idea is to combine the reading/listening practice you get from a .pdf audio-book with a nudge to get more involved with Italian culture by searching out an original Italian film, or two!
Here are links to the sample chapters of our three ‘book of the film’ easy readers:
- ‘Il sorpasso‘ – a student is taught to enjoy life and take risks… Get free sample chapter (.pdf)
- ‘Divorzio all’italiana‘ – how it was done in the days before divorce was legal… Download free sample (.pdf)
- ‘La dolce vita‘ – Fellini’s depressing tale of 60’s boom-years hedonism – Read the free sample (.pdf)
