Today is Bologna’s ‘patrono’. I guess that would mean ‘patron saint’s day’.
October 4th is San Petronio (his cathedral is right opposite our Italian school, by the way.)
Which means I get to sleep in.
But then, when I finally get up, I feel guilty about the late start…
And so am motivated to begin on the pile of jobs I’ve been putting off for ages!
One of these in particular is to review and improve the free material for learning Italian we offer on the club website.
Over the last year or two I re-wrote most of the grammar section, publicising each section to club members as I went.
It took forever, but the results were worth it.
The one remaining area of the site that desperately needs checking and improving at is the vocabulary section.
I’ve looked at it in the past, but recoiled in horror at the awful layouts, mistranslations and spelling errors.
However, San Petronio and all that, this morning I opened my new laptop and had a go at rewriting the first page in the alphabetical vocabulary index.
The material is upper-intermediate (B2) but anyone could take a look, as I write in English.
Here’s the link:
Now I know there are many eagle-eyed proof-readers who read these articles, so if you spot any errors, do shoot me an email!
The plan is to tackle one or two of these vocabulary pages a week, until the whole lot has been upgraded.
A venerdì.
