Buondì.
I’m going to keep this extremely short today, as it’s the end of the month and I have teachers, writers, editors, and various other people to pay – an important but time-consuming and tiresome job!
E poi, the weekend was chock full of parks, swings, slides, things to fall off or into, things that might bite or scratch, things that make scary noises or move unpredictably, or both, and so on.
We’re all quite worn out, and glad it’s Monday!
So anyway, this week we have a half price ‘ebook of the week offer’, this time it’s the B1/B2 (intermediate/upper-intermediate) L’imperatore e i giochi.
It’s basically a cameo of one of the nicer Roman emperors. Here’s the blurb from our ebook shop:
‘The philosopher’, Marco Aurelio (121 – 180 CE), was the last of the ‘Five Good Emperors’ who ruled during the Pax Romana, an age of relative peace and stability.
Join him and his son as they head off to the Colosseum for an afternoon of ‘entertainment’ – watching gladiators fight to the death.
The boy can’t wait! But his father is less than enthusiastic…

But wait!
Not only is L’imperatore e i giochi discounted this week, I thought I’d also knock 25% off ALL OUR HISTORICAL TITLES, a further ten ebooks, at different levels.
If you’re a history fan, then go browse, check out the free sample chapters (click on the product image in the shop to access the product information page, or find the ‘free sample’ links easily on our Catalog page.)
Not a history fan, like Henry Ford? (“the only history that is worth a tinker’s dam is the history we make today.”)
No worries, there are plenty of other engaging materials on the Catalog page, though they’re not discounted…
Così.
Told you it’d be short today!
A mercoledì, allora.

How do I access my ebook?
When your order is ‘completed’ (allow up to 24 hours), a download link will be automatically emailed to you. It’s valid for 7 days and 3 download attempts so please save a copy of the .pdf ebook in a safe place. Other versions of the ebook (.mobi/Kindle-compatible, .epub) cannot be downloaded but will be emailed to people who request them.
P.S.
Saturday’s free bulletin of ‘easy’ Italian news is waiting for you to read/listen to, if you haven’t already. I confess, I haven’t yet, but will today, as there’ll be another free bulletin tomorrow (Tuesday) and I don’t want to fall behind…
