(The articles I’ll be publishing this week are similar to those published in February 2020, at the time of our previous Free Trial Lesson Offer. They worked well then, so I’ll be taking a break and catching up on other work. Things’ll be back to normal on Monday 9th November.)
Buondì.
As mentioned on Friday, this week we have the Free Trial Online Italian Lesson Offer!
In our online shop, there are various online Italian lesson options. Choose between packages of five or ten lessons, for example, and so benefit from a discount.
But it’s also possible to buy just the one lesson, to try, or because you have some short-term need for help.
Buying just the one lesson at a time is normally the most costly option, for obvious reasons.
This week, however, FOR NEW STUDENTS ONLY, the ‘one lesson’ option is priced at ZERO, rather than £20.

30-minute online one-to-one Italian lesson via Skype
What that means is that, if you’d like to try an online lesson with a native-speaker Italian teacher, you can, and with absolutely no risk!
Use the ‘add to cart’ button to add the free 30-minute lesson to your cart.
Then proceed in the usual online-shopping way, except for the fact that, because it’s FREE, no payment details are required.
There’s nothing to sign, no obligation to buy more, and no requirement to cancel within a certain number of days or a payment is taken from your card.
In short, none of those horrible marketing tricks that we have learnt (the hard way!) to look out for.
This time it’s a genuinely-free, free trial offer.
I repeat, unless you’re buying something else at the same time (an ebook, say…), no payment details will be asked for.
Complete your order. You’ll receive a confirmation email.
At my end, there’ll be an ‘order received’ notification.
I’ll forward that on to our teaching management assistant, who will contact you (please give her a couple of days… things can get busy in Free Trial Lesson Offer week!)
She’ll email you to ask when you want to do your lesson, what your needs are, what your level is in Italian, and so on.
The teaching management assistant’s job is to assign you to one of our teachers. In part, she’ll make that decision based on when you want to study and when the teacher is available.
Some of them, for example, are willing to stay up really late or get up absurdly early, so as to be able to teach in different time zones.
The teaching management team (the assistant, and our teaching manager, Lucia) is also your contact point if there’s anything you need. For example, if you don’t manage to organise a day/time with your teacher, or if perhaps you’d prefer someone younger or older, or a teacher who speaks more, or less, English.
Whatever the issue is, the solution is to contact the teaching management team!
By the way, this isn’t an automated process, so please be patient. We all also have day jobs! And we don’t have a system of clever algorithms that does everything for us…
Please allow 24 hours or so for the teaching management assistant to contact you once you have completed your order. If you don’t get an email CHECK YOUR SPAM! And if we don’t reply to your subsequent emails immediately, bear in mind the time difference between Italy and wherever you are.
OK, so here are the offer conditions:
- The Free Trial Italian Lesson Offer starts today, 02/11/20, and ends on Sunday, 08/11/20
- We’ve got the capacity for around a hundred and fifty club members to try a trial lesson
- If demand is higher than expected, we’ll organise the lessons in the order they are booked
- This offer is only for NEW STUDENTS
- If you booked a free trial last time but didn’t take it – try again, that’s fine!
- But if you’ve already had your free trial (we have a list), this is not for you
- Having done your lesson, Lucia will send you a 15% discount coupon, in case you’d like to take further lessons (we hope you will…)
