Italian Vocabulary: Quantities

This lesson will help you learn how to talk about quantities in Italian.

 

quantità – quantity

un etto = 100 grammi grams
due etti e mezzo = 250 grammi grams

cinque panini – five sandwiches
un pacco di riso – a pack of rice
quattro bistecche di maiale – 4 porksteaks
due etti di carne macinata – 200 grams of minced meat
due chili di patate – 2 kilos of potatoes
un chilo di patate – 1 kilo of potatoes
mezzo chilo di patate – 0,5 kilo of potatoes
un vasetto di maionese – a jar of mayonnaise
un pezzo di formaggio – piece of cheese
un litro di vino – 1 litre of wine
