What’s your level in Italian?
If you’re not sure, take a look at this article, which shows you a simple way to work it out.
OK, so I’ll ask again: what’s your level in Italian?
End of A1?
Transitioning to A2 in places?
A good A2!
A2 going on B1… (like me in Swedish!)
B2, C1, C2!
OK, so it isn’t that simple.
But it’s useful to have an idea because, over in the online shop, if you scroll through, you’ll see we have six pages (!) of ebooks organised approximately in level order.
Except that on the first page you can also find the online lesson options and our six ‘workbooks’ – the Italian Workout! series (in 5 levels) and the popular The Tenses You Need To Speak Italian (which isn’t aimed at a specific level) – as well as the great value easy-reader ‘multipacks’.
Scroll down page 2 and you’ll see easy readers (simplified texts with audio) and Italian-English parallel texts (which have a translation but no audio or exercises), starting at A1 (the easiest) and progressing to A1/A2, a sort of half-level.
Incidentally, if you go back and look at page 5 again, you can see the differences in ebook type shown by the color and design of the covers – the red and green ones are easy readers (text plus exercise, glossary and audio), the two darker blue ones are from our ‘ebook of the classic Italian movie‘ series, and the lighter blue ones, with the Italian and British flag icons are the parallel texts.
Confused? Then try our Catalog page, which lists ebooks by type, and by level within each type.
There are also links that’ll take you directly to the free sample chapters for each one, so you can get an idea as to whether the material will be suitable for you, BEFORE you buy!
Bene, that’s me for today.
I have a Swedish lesson in an hour or so and I have to find a minute to review the teacher’s notes from the last one. It’s a busy week!
