to make yourself at home

(He has really made himself at home.)

(Welcome! Make yourselves at home, treat this house as if it were your own)

“mettere su casa”

to set up home, to settle down

Non credo sia il momento giusto per mettere su casa.
(I don’t think it’s the right moment to settle down.)
Angelo ha deciso di sposarsi e di mettere su casa.
(Angelo has decided to marry and settle down.)

“fare gli onori di casa”

to do the honours, to meet and greet
