Short and sweet today as, like a lot of people in the northern hemisphere in November, I’m fed up with the dark, the weather, the daily grind, and with the fact that it’s still more than four weeks until Christmas! Which might not happen anyway because… well, let’s not think about that.
So just a quick announcement, for the 10,867 people who have subscribed to read and listen to ‘easy’ Italian news at our sister site EasyItalianNews.com.
For the first time that I can remember, they’ll be pausing publication of the thrice-weekly (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) bulletins, this due to the key member of the team expected to be absent for medical reasons.
Rather than try to struggle by without her, they decided to give themselves a break, lighten the load a little – don’t worry EIN fans, they won’t be making a habit of it!
So, Thursday’s edition will be the last this week, then they’ll be skipping the next two, so no bulletins on Saturday or Tuesday. It’s expected that normal service will resume on Thursday Dec. 2nd.
N.b. If you’re not a subscriber, you can sign up (totally free, no obligation) here, in time to receive an email around this time tomorrow morning, containing the text for Thursday’s bulletin along with a link to the online audio.
Or just go look at their website, which is free for anyone to use, subscribed or not, and poke around, check out what they do.
But it’s the emailed bulletins (subscribers only) which give you the best chance of making reading & listening in Italian a habit.
And habits are what result in language learning.
Don’t forget this week’s new Italian ‘easy reader’ ebook, Dieci regioni italiane which is, as usual, discounted 25%, so until Sunday you’ll pay just £5.99 rather than the usual ‘easy reader’ price tag of £7.99.
Italy has twenty regions. Improve your Italian reading and listening while finding out about ten of them, from Piemonte in the north to Puglia in the south!
