Buondì.
I’ll be brief this morning, as I’ve already spent hours updating the club’s “Best of OnlineItalianClub.com” page.
Basically that involved reading through last year’s articles to pick out the ones I think contain something useful (NOT like this one) and add links to them on the “Best of” page.
That way they’ll be accessible to anyone with too much time on their hands and a yen to read more of my stuff.
The ‘new’ ones are from March 2019 to December 2019, but the “Best of” page links to articles as far back as 2012.
Buona lettura!
A venerdì.
P.S.
Tuesday’s bulletin of ‘easy’ Italian news is here.
Frighteningly, one of the writers who contributed appears not to know the difference between Iran and Iraq.
But hey, these ‘deliberate errors’ are useful for honing your listening and reading comprehension skills!
P.P.S.
Apologies to the six hundred or so people on the easyreaders.org (our online shop’s) mailing list.
A technical glitch meant that you (and I) received the final two mailings for the recent January Sale yesterday, two days AFTER the January Sale had ended.
I hate this technical stuff – but honestly, it wasn’t my fault!
The ever-helpful customer support people at the company which handles our email lists acknowledged this:
I’m quite sorry for the experience you had. It does appear as though the Blog Broadcast feature got stuck and delayed the sending of the two messages
Yes, indeed it does appear that way. It ‘got stuck’, like when my cat tries to swallow a turkey leg bone.
And the reason? The solution?
They’d rather discuss it on the phone, they say. When would be a good time for them to call me??
Oh, very sorry, they reply to my suggestion that lunchtime in Europe’s CET would be convenient. Unfortunately, that time is outside of our customer service hours.
So looks like that’s that.
It was a mess up, nobody who might know why cares enough to let me know in writing or to make a call outside of office hours.
But I’m sorry, at least, and so apologise once again.
