Buondì.
The January Sale in our (now two) online stores, EasyReaders.org (ebooks) and NativeSpeakerTeachers.com (1-1 lessons), always begins the week after Christmas.
But the way things have fallen this year, with Monday being Boxing Day, messes things up a little.
I’m still recovering from yesterday’s lunch, for one thing, and later in the day we’ll be hitting the autostrada, to return home to Bologna from the coast. To a cold house, an empty fridge, and to jobs which have been piling up since about Thursday.
So, the plan is this.
You’ll get the usual ‘The January Sale has Started!’ email on Wednesday 28th December (the sale will end the week after, on Friday 6th January).
Current and former NativeSpeakerTeachers.com students will be emailed the coupon code at some point TODAY, when the teaching management team have digested their turkey and got bored enough with relatives to seek refuge in their laptops.
The idea behind that is we get the renewals out of the way, before welcoming new students, from Wednesday onwards. It also helps spread the workload a little. And perhaps our students will be bored with their relatives, too.
E poi, Tuesday is the day each week when I try to tempt the EasyReaders.org mailing list with our latest ebook offerings. And Tuesday is tomorrow, so ebook buyers and would-be ebook buyers will get the January Sale coupon code a day early.
Così.
This morning I’ve got Roomie to wrangle, and if there are any quiet moments, I’ll be dipping into the Italian-language novel I downloaded with my library card last week (Missed that? Catch up here: ‘Got a library card? I hadn’t used mine since 2015…‘)
And/or browsing the Italian/Swedish/French/Spanish newspapers that my phone is now automatically downloading each day, also courtesy of my library card, also free – long may it last!
Then there are the Swedish radio news headlines to listen to. And France.info, and the Spanish TV app I too often neglect.
Looks like it’ll be a busy day!
A mercoledì, allora.
Or a domani, for those on the ebook store’s mailing list.
P.S.
Did you find time over the holiday weekend to listen to Saturday’s bulletin of ‘easy’ Italian news?
If not, well, there’s a Boxing Day project for you! While you’re waiting for the January Sale.
EasyItalianNews.com is FREE, as is subscribing to receive each of the three weekly bulletins, directly to your email inbox, immediately they are published on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
How about that for a New Year’s resolution?? Listen to three FREE bulletins of ‘easy’ Italian news each week?
By this time next year, your Italian listening and reading comprehension skills will be much better!
