Hope you had a good weekend, or at least one that was cooler and less chaotic than ours!
We have a smaller version of Roomie staying for a few days, as the zoo keepers are on strike, or something. Our Roomie is jealous as hell, which manifests itself as her refusing to eat, but also trying out my ‘seventies-era parenting techniques (shouting, mostly) on her Mini-Me. Out of the mouths of babes.
But now it’s Monday, the kindergarten is open, so peace is temporarily restored to casa mia. Hence I’ve had time to proof-read and publish the latest in our Summer Series, which has a prominent mistake in the audio.
I would remonstrate with the ‘speaker’, but the poor woman was up half the night burping (transitive not intransitive), so deserves a break.
Congratulate yourself on your listening skills if you can spot the error. It’s not hard…
For those who haven’t begun, Episodes 1-3 of this summer’s series, and the Summer Series from 2020 and 2021, can be found on our History page.
25% Off New Ebook Easy Reader
Also this week we have another in our series of history-themed ‘easy reader’ ebooks, this time set in World War I.
A conscript army is defending Italy from the Austro-Hungarians. New recruits Rino and Felice have been marching, footsore, towards the trenches, which are carved high up in the rocks of the Alps. They’re almost there!
