Sorry, been too busy (teaching) to publish the B2 Italian listening series as promised.
Domani!
But I have got round to collecting the 8 texts from the B1 series and putting them on the B1 page, where they’ll be easy to find.
So, while you’re waiting for the B2 listenings (hopefully tomorrow), try this:
– think of a number between 1 and 8, and remember it….
– visit in turn the A1, A2, and B1 pages (links below)
– scroll down to the listening section and click your chosen number in the listening series
– listen…
– hopefully, you’ll notice how the A1 text is easy, the A2 text is less easy, and the B1 text is the hardest…
– reflect on whether your listening has improved…
– if not yet bored, choose ANOTHER number between 1 and 8 and repeat the process!

Oh, and then come back to this page and leave a comment. I’d love to know how you got on and what you think your current level in Italian is…

That’s great, John! It’s very satisfying to hear you’ve made such progress.
But what about today’s B2?
John Thomson says
Ho pensato che chiederai tu questa domanda Daniel
A questo momento sto cinguendo (dal dizionario) i lompi (dal dizionario)
Ricorda pure, che non me ne fregga le errori
c’e un’ espressione in italiano “to learn make mistakes” oppure qualcosa stessa?
come ho prima detto “voglio io communicare”

Hi there Daniel!
I love your listening exercises, and along with the transcripts, they are proving very useful!
Could you please help me with the following points ….
These all refer to “La fondazione di Roma ” …
Si dice che il 21 aprile è il compleanno di Roma ..PRESENT( i.e. . provable fact ?)
Si dice che i gemelli siano stati abbandonati …. SUBJUNCTIVE ( i. e. doubt )
Si dice che un pastore si sia preso cura dei due gemelli … SUBJUNCTIVE ( i.e uncertainty )
Si diceva che Roma discendeva dalla dea Venere …. IMPERFECT i.e. desccriptive
Is this correct ? Have I grasped the concept correctly ??
Many thanks for your help .
Daniel says
Hi Liz,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
I’m not an Italian teacher or native speaker of the language, but to me your grasp of the concepts appear correct.
Don’t hesitate to ask here if there’s anything you DON’T understand!
Best wishes,
Daniel
